We'll get 'em in the next 10 years though.

I would probably have voted for VC #1. But there's no denying VC did crazy things here in a very short time.

@ Mattt: Nobody can fill Sundin's shoes. He rewrote the record books.

@ Mark: Cheers.

@ Hungry: It was fun putting this shit together, and watching all the videos. As for the Argos, you're right. It was 2004. I'm not sure if it was his 3rd or 4th home run, but Carlos's reaction after one of those dingers was priceless. He knew it was a special night. That moment alone pretty much sealed his entry as the only Toronto-based athlete to ever grace the cover shot alone on Sports Illustrated. Though that speaks volumes about Toronto's impact in the sports world down south, Carter alone put the city on the map to the rest of the sports world. Not to over exaggerate matters, I can't think of another sports figure/moment that completely changed the perception of Toronto and Canada in general, in terms of free agency, management, and market share.

PS: You're a machine.bkbladeshttps://www.blogger.com/profile/14993067848904779017noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2432386330226362504.post-26373265360735221692009-12-28T04:23:19.022-05:002009-12-28T04:23:19.022-05:00PS - The Danny Dichio video gives me chills.PS - The Danny Dichio video gives me chills.Archihttps://www.blogger.com/profile/02151272110728462869noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2432386330226362504.post-42402495622598732182009-12-28T04:22:50.452-05:002009-12-28T04:22:50.452-05:00You make a strong, strong case that Vinsanity shou...You make a strong, strong case that Vinsanity should indeed be #1. I remember being so excited that I got up and left the room after his first dunk. It felt like Vince in 2000 and 2001 let this city really fall in love with basketball by being able toe experience the excitement of watching Vince in his prime and that dunk contest was his first real explosion on a national stage. It was the first time someone in a Raptors jersey took a hold of the spotlight.

Heck, this list could have included one of the nights that Vince came back in a Nets uniform and ripped people's hearts out.Archihttps://www.blogger.com/profile/02151272110728462869noreply@blogger.com
