See You In September

I'm off to see Lady Liberty. And definitely not the New York Yankees. I will take no part in adding to those coffers, thank you very much. If I want to go to an amusement park, I'll hit up the CNE.

Your parting gift: John McDonald's entrance tune ...

Gangsta Nation by Westside Connection - Ice Cube, Mack10, WC (with Nate Dogg on the chorus, of course) - is without a doubt the last song I'd ever imagine the Prime Minister of Defence would walk up to the plate to. Johnny Mac is clearly, as the kids say, "street."

Enjoy your weekend. Remember to support your local baseball team. (And its much-maligned centre fielder.) Winless, and hit hard, in three starts against the Boston Red Sox, I believe it's Ricky Romero's time to shine in his Fenway Park debut.

Have a great trip and enjoy yourself. Hey, go to a Yankee game. Why not? It would be a great experience.

But in any case, enjoy.

There has to be a story connected to the Johnny Mac song. I'm guess it's some sort of lost bet. Either that or he hung around Josh Towers too much when he was still here.

Have a safe trip.

Happy belated trails to you! What kind of crazed vertigo mind-fuck are the Jays putting fans through. Doc's had enough, the team except for 1,2,3 has utterly imploded in some self wallowing pile of failure shit-stink! I had to vent somewhere, the Jays are killing me now especially when you see that they need at least an extra 30 million to actually compete in the A.L. East. Did J.P. miss his window with Doc? I wonder......

@ William: I read that piece about Scutaro. He's had a marvelous season. I'm torn on whether to re-sign him. I say, let gravity decide. Coin-toss, best of 7. Heads: Re-sign Scoots; Tails: Peace out, Scoots, thanks for the draft picks.

@ The Ack: Way to hold it down.

@ Loosh: My shoulder will always be here for you to cry on.

@ Ian: Do you think Johnny Mac can do the crip walk? Parkes should have asked him during his interview. Fuck.

Bronx Bomber games are great...

Went to one and a drunk fan jumped on top of the backstop mesh, dangling there while the game was delayed by 45 minutes until he was hauled off to the clink...

There were fights all over the place and I was in the 'dry' section at the old Yankee stadium (not by choice either---thank YOU dirtbag scalper)
